The Cultural Humility training provides attendees with an overview of the concept and principles of cultural humility, which include lifelong learning and critical self-reflection, recognizing & challenging power imbalances, and institutional accountability. Practicing the principles of cultural humility can improve our ability to meet the diverse needs of multicultural communities we serve.

 

The training is appropriate for anyone, from direct service provider to policy maker, who is interested in working to address health disparities in their service area. 

 

 

 

Seminar Objectives Include:

 

Briefly summarize cultural humility

Provide Framework for how mental health professionals apply cultural humility

Giving strategies for increasing cultural humility

Applying institutional accountability
