****TRAINING OPEN TO FLORIDA HEALTHCARE WORKERS ONLY, SPONSORED THROUGH A GRANT FROM SAMHSA.****

Please note: This is a hybrid eCPR course which does not meet the requirements necessary to go on to become an eCPR facilitator/trainer; it is intended as a practical orientation to Emotional CPR skills for those working in the mental or physical healthcare field.

Emotional CPR (eCPR), is a hope-based public health approach to build strong, resilient, cooperative communities. It is designed to teach people to assist others through an emotional crisis through three simple steps: C= Connecting, P= emPowering, and R= Revitalization. This training will help prepare you to provide support to others- patients, coworkers, family, or people you haven't met- who may be experiencing an emotional crisis. eCPR skills can be practiced both by people trained in counseling, assessment, or other mental health skills, also by those with no mental health training. It is also valuable in deepening day-to-day communication.

This course is hybrid, meaning it will consist of two parts: a 2-hour self-paced, online learning course, and a 7-hour live, virtual training session (including a 1-hr. lunch break) where participants will have the opportunity to practice their eCPR skills with other trainees. Registrants must complete the online self-paced learning module before attending the live virtual session, scheduled for Friday, February 7th, 2025, from 9am - 4pm EST. You will receive access to the online self-paced learning module approximately 2 weeks prior to the live training date.
