Getting certified as Certified Recovery Peer Specialist in Florida is a complicated process, but the Peer Support Coalition of Florida is here to make it easier and provide you with the answers and support that you need on the journey to certification.

With decades of experience in the certification process and established relationships with the Department of Children and Families, the Managing Entities throughout the State of Florida, as well as the Florida Certification Board, we are well versed to provide you with the information you need. 

This session will go over:

* what a peer specialist is and the types of jobs available

* eligibility and requirements to become a peer specialist

* pathways to becoming certified

* what training is needed and how to find it

* how to get experience hours

* how to start the application process

* help with forms

* how to know if you need the exemption process and how to get it started
