Orlando Police and Orange County Sheriff launch mental health response programs

According to the Space Coast Rocket News, Orlando City Council has given the approval to develop a pilot program that sends mental health professionals instead of police to certain situations. Aspire Health Partners have joined forces with the Orange County police and sheriff’s and hope to have individuals hired and start training by January 1st for a roll out on taking their first calls February 1st.
