Clinical and community psychologist Andy Bernstein, PhD, CPRP is part of a research project involving the peer support community. Bernstein has teamed up with two colleagues to pursue an interest in the cancer experiences of people who identify as living with serious mental health concerns and are involved as peer supporters. The link below explains more about the project and provides an opportunity for people who might be interested in the study to participate anonymously as respondents. The goal is to demonstrate the positive role peer supporters have in the lives of others, especially those facing difficult life/health challenges. An Institutional Review Board responsible for human subjects research at The University of Arizona reviewed the research project and approved it. If you have any questions, you can contact the study team at PEERS4CANCER@email.arizona.edu. Click here to access the survey.
